Jeffrey Thompson Portfolio Manager, Real Estate Share Add Download Print Mr. Thompson is an executive vice president and portfolio manager in the New York office, responsible for sourcing, underwriting and managing commercial real estate (CRE) debt-based investments. He has global experience lending across all major property types. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2017, he was a managing director and co-head of the commercial real estate group at Annaly Capital Management, investing in CRE debt and equity. Mr. Thompson also spent 20 years at GE Capital, most recently responsible for the institutional CRE lending program. His other responsibilities included underwriting and valuation as part of the risk management group. During his career, he originated over $30 billion in loans primarily to institutional borrowers. He has 26 years of investment experience and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto.
