Matthieu Louanges Head of EMEA Financial Institutions Group Share Add Download Print Mr. Louanges is a managing director in the Munich office and heads PIMCO’s global relationship with Allianz as a client and business partner. He previously launched PIMCO"s insurance channel in EMEA in 2010 and was responsible for PIMCO's financial institutions group, with broad oversight responsibility for the firm's business in Switzerland and France as well as for the client solutions team in EMEA. He started his career at PIMCO as a portfolio manager, co-headed the Munich portfolio management team, managed European portfolios and was a member of the European strategy group. He also served as a managing director on the board of Allianz Global Investors KAG, representing PIMCO's portfolio management. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2000, he worked for PIMCO’s parent company, Allianz, starting in 1998. Mr. Louanges began his career in 1994 at Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt and Paris in the fixed income sales department and moved to the Caisse Centrale de Réescompte in 1995 to become a portfolio manager. He has 24 years of investment experience and holds a master's degree in finance from the Ecole Supérieure de Gestion in Paris.
